Scarf City

Postseason means scarf season, and this year I'm putting my summer scarfs to use for the fall. This lightweight scarf accents the dark colors of fall super well, I'm so happy many rules were blended this season (for color especially). Also, my newest everyday accessory has been coffee colored lipstick. I love the deep plum and burgundy on the runways, but for me, that's only for going out. Since I don't wear lipstick often, a deep brown color is the perfect addition to my makeup regimen, to turn the dark gothy look everyday acceptable.
Today I'm wearing a white burnout graphic SF Giants tee by Campus Lifestyle for MLB, navy blazer with tan elbow patches from Forever 21, Seven jeans, and navy/white gauze nautical scarf from Necessary Clothing. Lipstick is Coffee Bean by Revlon.

Furrr

First day of Fall = very excited me! The weather is just brisk enough to bust out the tights, and that's exactly what I did. And since I love vests oh so much, I figured the furry warm one would be perfect. Today I wore my Giants raglan tee by 4 Her, faux fur vest that I got at Marshall's a while back, tan tiered skirt by Forever 21 and black opaque tights from Target.

Oh and the Giant's magic number is 3. THAT'S WHAT'S UP!

Black on Black

Heavyweight textures are going to be big this fall, especially leather. Beyond bombers and jackets, be on the lookout for skirts, dresses, blouses, and button down shirts. This postseason look with faux leather skirt I'm wearing now is both dressy and warm for those cool California night games . Pair with some boots and a wool coat, and you'll be good for all the other states :) Skirt and lace jacket from Forever 21, raglan SF Giants tee by Majestic.

Cool Weather

Fall's almost here!! I finally get to wear some of the clothes I've been purchasing. I love this shiny bomber jacket I bought the other day, the super regal and gaudy print in the back reminds me of Dolce and Gabbana's Fall 2012 show that I love so much. (Go to style.com if you haven't seen it yet.). These opulent prints mixed with gothy colors and cuts are very Victorian, and right up my alley. LOVELOVELOVE :)

Bomber from Forever21, burnout SF Giants tee from Touch by Alyssa Milano, jeans by Seven.

Sherbet Shoes

Finally made it to the Union Square Nordstrom Rack (which WILL be the end of me). Went in for something specific, but like always, was stuck in the shoe section. Turned out to be a great thing, because I stumbled upon these amazing mesh and leather orange Cole Haan's :). They maybe a spring 2012 shoe, but bright colors are popular this fall, and orange always works. Hooray!! I now have a comfortable, and super cute, postseason Giants shoe. Now I can celebrate next Orange Friday from head to toe! I wouldn't, but I'm just saying I could. ;)

Fall Hair Part Duex

Soo, didn't exactly do what I had said. I still LOVE the roots trend and plan on doing it later, but I bought this magenta/hot pink color and I REALLY REALLY couldn't wait to use it. It's too dark for the top of my hair, so I put it under like always. I love it! I miss having bright hair so I feel back at home almost, haha :)

Anyways, here are a few pictures. I'll add more in a few days I'm sure.

Fall Hair

With Fashion Week quickly approaching, the right side of my brain is going crazy.  I want to do something fun and a bit different, but without getting too crazy.  Wearing outrageous clothing is great, and putting on vibrant make-up is super fun, but one trend that I've been loving to death are all the bright colors everyone is putting in their hair.  I've done the whole half crayon color, half normal color thing, so I sought inspiration from Vogue.com to see something different.  What do I come across?  Jean Paul Gaultier's 2012 Fall/Winter runway.  All his girls had the tops of their heads sprayed in loud colors, to play on "recession-roots", that has been popular for the last couple of years.  Eureka!  It's perfect, now to decide on a color...
Of course orange is the first option, but honestly since my hair isn't bleached, it doesn't turn out as vibrant as I would like it to.  I'm thinking either my old favorite, pink, or going really dark with purple.  Decisions, decisions.  Anyways, here are my favorite examples from the show, and hopefully in a couple days I'll show you how mine turned out.

Great win by the Giant's today!!  Man, are we looking strong.  Keep it up guys!

Women Have Layers

One of my favorite fall trends is a heavily layered silhouette. Whether the pieces are tailored, or oversized, it adds experiment to a tired look, while using old pieces. Today I opted for summer pieces and colors, because it was way too hot out. I'll demonstrate later on in the post season with pants, fall colors, etc. Today is an oversized layered look, in breezy materials that is easy to wear if you are in hot climates (yet still jump start the trend). White crocheted skirt by Necessary Clothing, light blue baby doll dress from a thrift store, and white studded gauze poncho by Zara, with SF Giants patch from MLB.com.

Layer it up!

Sportsanista Meets #ballparkchic

Hey All!

So pleased to have a guest post from a fellow fashion/sports blogger, Marija Krosnjar!!  She runs the amazing blog Sportsanista that I've been following recently, and I absolutely love it.  Naturally, I figure we should collab on some looks that she would wear to the ballpark, so I asked and she agreed.  Here is Marija's post, enjoy!

Thank you for welcoming me to the world of Ballpark Chic! From a background in working in sports, I have to say that my style can be a little unconventional at times, but it’s completely important to incorporate yourself into every look , no matter the occasion. In Chicago the weather can vary from sweltering heat to a tundra at the drop of the hat. As a baseball fan in Chicago, I need my dugout deep enough to accommodate trend prohibiting weather….I will sweat or freeze for fashion; in this case, I’m going to provide you with trendy options so that you won’t have to do neither.

With two and a half months left in regular season and post-season baseball play, aside from praying for the advancement of your team, the real question is….what do you wear? With summer shortly turning to Fall, baseball yet again transitions through another season. With help from Fans Edge (http://www.fansedge.com ), here are my top summer to fall looks for this baseball season! Happy shopping Sportsanista!

Shirt: Seafoam Women’s Jersey V-Neck

Pants: The Limited

Orange Friday Part Dos

My mom bought me this dress not too long ago. She thought of me because of the orange and black of course :). I absolutely love it, but I can't help but think all it needs is a little metallic SF emblem on the sleeve or something. Who's with me??

Hope you are wearing your orange proudly, happy Orange Friday!

Nike & PINK

Today we held a super sweet Nike whiffle ball event, where we had Red Sox fans face Yankee fans. The prize? Tickets to the Sunday night game. What does this mean for me? I get to wear my brand new VS PINK Giants sweats and a Nike Dry-Fit tee. I'm not really sure how I lived life without Dry-Fit tees...anyways hooray for days that it's appropriate to wear PJ's!

Casual Fridays

I feel like I haven't worn just a t-shirt in a little bit. My recent patch craze has made me get a little more fancy with my clothing options. Today, I'm taking it back to comfy, but dressing it up a bit with my favorite summer jacket. White tweed lightweight jacket from Zara, charcoal burn out SF Giants graphic tee from 47 Brand, tie dye orange short from K-Mart (yes, K-Mart and they go so well with every Giants shirt. You never know what you'll find, right??)

Patches 2.0

Forgot to post this when I wore it the other day, oopsy. Here goes round 2 of my patch obsession! This to me is probably the easiest garment to wear at a game. It's light, your covered for day games, and the shape works for everyone. Add a super sweet 50 year anniversary patch to it, and boom! It's perfect :). Poncho is from Zara, and the patch from MLB.com.

New Patches = Joy

My new patches game in, so I looked at my closet and said in my best Oprah voice, "You get a patch, and YOU get a patch...". Jokes jokes jokes. Anyways I did go patch crazy, and I'm wearing my new Candlestick one today :) Tunic from Forever 21, "Tell It Goodbye" patch from MLB.com, (rally) shants from Love Culture.

I Love Giants Baseball and Leopard Print Shorts

Sorry for the mirror pictures, which is to blame for the backwards text haha. Today, because I love the Giants so much, I'm wearing a shirt that lets the world know :). I love my 5th & Ocean SF Giants graphic tee, and my high waist leopard shorts with bow detail by Necessary Clothing. Nothing pops like a printed short, am I right??

Must-Have Accessory

There is one thing I now can't leave home without; my new (to me) Phiten SF Giants wrist band. This is definitely the easiest way to rep your team everyday and for almost every occasion. Oh, and in other news, I bought more patches yesterday!! I'm so excited :) :) :)

Melissa Shoes

Now I know this is not baseball related, but I am SO excited for these shoes! I've been wanting to order some Melissa shoes for a while now. This designer creates beautiful, futuristic looking shoes out of recycled plastics. Not only that but the brand makes shoes for other designers like Vivienne Westwood, Gaultier, and Alexandre Herchcovitch. Recently discovering that the NYC boutique was a few blocks away from me, I finally snagged my first pair today. These ones are designed for Jason Wu, and I absolutely adore them!! Check out the site at www.melissa.com.br or shop at www.shopmelissa.com

A Bit Girly

My favorite new skirt is actually a skort (nothing more awesome than that), and is one of 3 pink items in my closet. I want to wear it every day, buuut black and orange doesn't mix so well with it. Thank God I have this fantastic grey and ivory Giants tank by Touch by Alyssa Milano, it's a perfect match. My fringed flapper style skort is by Zara, and I've paired it with my lace black and ivory cardigan from
Forever 21.

Got My Rally Shants, and My Flippy Floppies

Ok, so I knew today would be a tough game with Cain vs Hamels, so I had to wear my shants. My Ricardo Marquez rally shants, of course. For those that don't know, shants are short pants, but not shorts haha. This game is pretty intense so good thing I wore this outfit! Today I'm in my 47 brand raglan graphic tee, grey vest and black rally shants by Forever 21. Go Giants!!

Best Jersey Ever

Most of you have already seen this, but this must be posted on the blog!! When I found out we could customize jerseys, I just about flipped. I was trying so hard to think of what I wanted to make...and I thought of 2; Romo or Cain. Since Romo didnt make the team (we know he should have but it's all good) I decided on Cainer. Then this happened:
