Scarf City

Postseason means scarf season, and this year I'm putting my summer scarfs to use for the fall. This lightweight scarf accents the dark colors of fall super well, I'm so happy many rules were blended this season (for color especially). Also, my newest everyday accessory has been coffee colored lipstick. I love the deep plum and burgundy on the runways, but for me, that's only for going out. Since I don't wear lipstick often, a deep brown color is the perfect addition to my makeup regimen, to turn the dark gothy look everyday acceptable.
Today I'm wearing a white burnout graphic SF Giants tee by Campus Lifestyle for MLB, navy blazer with tan elbow patches from Forever 21, Seven jeans, and navy/white gauze nautical scarf from Necessary Clothing. Lipstick is Coffee Bean by Revlon.

Furrr

First day of Fall = very excited me! The weather is just brisk enough to bust out the tights, and that's exactly what I did. And since I love vests oh so much, I figured the furry warm one would be perfect. Today I wore my Giants raglan tee by 4 Her, faux fur vest that I got at Marshall's a while back, tan tiered skirt by Forever 21 and black opaque tights from Target.

Oh and the Giant's magic number is 3. THAT'S WHAT'S UP!

Black on Black

Heavyweight textures are going to be big this fall, especially leather. Beyond bombers and jackets, be on the lookout for skirts, dresses, blouses, and button down shirts. This postseason look with faux leather skirt I'm wearing now is both dressy and warm for those cool California night games . Pair with some boots and a wool coat, and you'll be good for all the other states :) Skirt and lace jacket from Forever 21, raglan SF Giants tee by Majestic.

Cool Weather

Fall's almost here!! I finally get to wear some of the clothes I've been purchasing. I love this shiny bomber jacket I bought the other day, the super regal and gaudy print in the back reminds me of Dolce and Gabbana's Fall 2012 show that I love so much. (Go to style.com if you haven't seen it yet.). These opulent prints mixed with gothy colors and cuts are very Victorian, and right up my alley. LOVELOVELOVE :)

Bomber from Forever21, burnout SF Giants tee from Touch by Alyssa Milano, jeans by Seven.

Sherbet Shoes

Finally made it to the Union Square Nordstrom Rack (which WILL be the end of me). Went in for something specific, but like always, was stuck in the shoe section. Turned out to be a great thing, because I stumbled upon these amazing mesh and leather orange Cole Haan's :). They maybe a spring 2012 shoe, but bright colors are popular this fall, and orange always works. Hooray!! I now have a comfortable, and super cute, postseason Giants shoe. Now I can celebrate next Orange Friday from head to toe! I wouldn't, but I'm just saying I could. ;)

Fall Hair Part Duex

Soo, didn't exactly do what I had said. I still LOVE the roots trend and plan on doing it later, but I bought this magenta/hot pink color and I REALLY REALLY couldn't wait to use it. It's too dark for the top of my hair, so I put it under like always. I love it! I miss having bright hair so I feel back at home almost, haha :)

Anyways, here are a few pictures. I'll add more in a few days I'm sure.

Fall Hair

With Fashion Week quickly approaching, the right side of my brain is going crazy.  I want to do something fun and a bit different, but without getting too crazy.  Wearing outrageous clothing is great, and putting on vibrant make-up is super fun, but one trend that I've been loving to death are all the bright colors everyone is putting in their hair.  I've done the whole half crayon color, half normal color thing, so I sought inspiration from Vogue.com to see something different.  What do I come across?  Jean Paul Gaultier's 2012 Fall/Winter runway.  All his girls had the tops of their heads sprayed in loud colors, to play on "recession-roots", that has been popular for the last couple of years.  Eureka!  It's perfect, now to decide on a color...
Of course orange is the first option, but honestly since my hair isn't bleached, it doesn't turn out as vibrant as I would like it to.  I'm thinking either my old favorite, pink, or going really dark with purple.  Decisions, decisions.  Anyways, here are my favorite examples from the show, and hopefully in a couple days I'll show you how mine turned out.

Great win by the Giant's today!!  Man, are we looking strong.  Keep it up guys!
